Die Klappe is exactly what the name says it is: a hatch. Behind it, two chefs serve up fresh, honest food straight onto the street. You eat it standing, perched on a low wall, or gathered around self-built tables that look like they’ve always been there. It’s casual, a little chaotic, and full of charm.
The food changes daily: always three dishes, always seasonal, always full of flavor. Locals still talk about the pumpkin lasagna and the springtime asparagus with pork medallions. Today it might be spätzle with mountain cheese, rosemary polenta with slow-cooked turkey, or pan-fried herring with dill and green beans.
If the weather turns, just step next door into the "Weingarage", a warm indoor room with tables, chairs, and the same simple energy. No reservation, no fuss, just a place where lunch is still about good food and not much else.
