A little bit of Montmartre on Plac Szczepanski, Charlotte offers a trendy interior with delicious French pastries, breads, tarts, and hot and cold sandwiches. In the warmer months I meet up with friends and sit outside people watching into the late hours of the night. This place, like myself, tends to attract a mixture of individuals from business people to artists and actors. All baked goods are fresh and baked daily on the premises, the rosemary and olive loaf is divine.
They also offer a menu of coffees and teas as well as a wine menu featuring French wines by the glass, carafe, or bottle all reasonably priced. Food is available all day long, the croque monsieur is my personal favorite but the roast-beef sandwiches are also popular and very tasty.
Baked goods are also available to take home if you prefer to enjoy them in the comfort of your own space. Bread can be ordered on location or if you wish to order a special loaf with reduced gluten or no salt, orders can be made via telephone. They do not take reservations so be patient and make sure you dress the part in order to fit in with the chic crowd.
