If you like to eat well, but most of the meals are not enough in your opinion, Pod Wawelem will be a perfect place for you. With its huge portions, I can guarantee you'll leave this restaurant full and satisfied.
The name of this place - Pod Wawelem - indicates its location - it's situated just opposite the Wawel castle, on the ground floor of Hotel Royal. This restaurant is famous for its big portions and good meal deals, but this is not the only thing that makes this spot worth seeing.
The whole restaurant has been designed in Bavarian style - which makes you feel like you're at Oktoberfest. Live folk music is played here every evening and if you're lucky, a band will come to your table and play a special dedication for you.
On Mondays a big farmer schnitzel is served at special price. Tuesday is a day of King Prawns (buy one portion, get 2nd free). On Thursday and Friday you can get a pot of fresh mussels at a promotional price.
Even the toilet can surprise you - while doing what you usually "need to do after few beers", you can listen to... jokes. Unfortunately, most of them are in Polish...but still, if you're lucky, someone will help you with translation.
