On Little Thames Walk, just off the river and about a five-minute walk from the centre of Greenwich and away from the crowds, is Arapina, a vegan and vegetarian bakery that offers a varied selection of hot and cold drinks, freshly baked pastries, cakes, sandwiches and meals, including the cronut (a cross between a donut and a croissant).
I often find myself getting the vegan breakfast, which comes with tomatoes, hummus (option to have egg as a vegetarian alternative), vegan sausages, freshly baked bread, avocado and beans. Combine with the refreshing, freshly squeezed orange juice, and make sure to ask for the vegan mayonnaise! The décor is tasteful, and I find it a relaxing space when I need to escape the centre of Greenwich.
