About me
My name is Ellie and I’m a born and bred Londoner, obsessed with all things travel related. I was brought up in South-East London where I’m based at the moment, but I have also lived in Brighton on the South coast of England for university for three years and in sunny Sydney in Australia for one year.
I work in marketing and freelance writing and try to travel as much as I can. Writing about my adventures in London and wherever else I have visited in the world brings me great pleasure, which makes creating content for Spotted by Locals ideal for me!
Other hobbies of mine include live music and summer festivals, food and hiking.
Why London
I love London because here I am never bored. I truly believe in the saying ‘when you’re bored of London, you’re bored of life’. Every single week there is something new and exciting to do, whether there is a hip new opening of an obscure restaurant or whether there is a cool gig on in a trendy East-end venue. In fact, there is so much going on in London it can be difficult to take some downtime as I never want to miss out on anything!
I also find that the people that are drawn to London are really special – they tend to be open-minded, tolerant and interesting. They are doers, people who want to enjoy life to the full and succeed in it. There is no other place like London and there is a reason why so many call it the best city in the world.
