I had great expectations from this tiny restaurant because of the number of good reviews I had heard from friends. When I finally managed to go a couple of weeks ago I was not disappointed.
This little gem has an extensive menu of Korean and Japanese dishes – far too many to try in one sitting. I would recommend sharing some of the appetisers – the Bulgoggi Mandu (crispy fried marinated beef dumplings) and the Kimchi jeon pancakes were two of my personal favourites. As for the mains, the Korean barbecue dishes come sizzling on a hot plate ready to wrap in lettuce and eat in irresistible bite-size mouthfuls. They also serve sushi, sashimi and other signature Japanese dishes.Â
All the above is, of course, complimented perfectly by one of the ice-cold Asian beers or, for the more adventurous, a glass of Korean plum wine. Book in advance because, unsurprisingly, there’s always a queue.
