An incredible store has opened its doors in North Acton, close to Asda. But Goodies does not compete... it wins by a mile!
Not only does this supermarket have literally anything you would need (or not know you need yet), it also has a bakery, shawarma & grill station, butcher and an extensive frozen foods section. Goodies is where you go to buy in bulk, and for the month.
There is no place to sit, so anything you buy in the bakery or the grill will be to take away, but this is typical in most Arab supermarkets anyway. You don't come to eat, you come to shop, restock and pick up lunch. It's close to a bus stop and only a short walk from the main road, with spacious parking. Coming by car makes the most sense, as your little arms will not be able to carry everything you buy with your eyes and heart.
You will find products with famous brands from all around the Middle East, Asia and even parts of Europe. Frozen, vacuum-packed, home-made mezze or even in-season vegetables, Goodies has thought of it.
The biggest selling point of this place is its incredibly low prices for a chicken shawarma wrap, at only £3 — yes, you read that correctly. So bring a backpack, and order 12. One for each of your friends and their mothers.
Run, don't walk!
