Brixton is a vibrant neighbourhood with a lively atmosphere I love hanging around in whether it’s to meet friends at one of the markets or to do some shopping, but at times it can feel quite busy, especially around the area of the station. So it’s nice when you come across quiet places where you can observe the busy city life in a more relaxed setting.
One of my favourite spots to do that whenever I hang out in Brixton is Stir Coffee Brixton. It’s a lovely neighbourhood coffee shop located on the corner of Brixton Hill and Arodene Road which has a very chilled vibe. The location of Stir coffee along with its big windows, which on sunny days fill the place with lots of sunshine, make it the perfect place to sit down and people-watch or read a book while enjoying a cup of coffee.
The coffee menu is top notch with a good selection of milk-based and pour-over coffees and regularly changing guest coffees from roasteries across the UK and Europe. The food is not to miss either. Their in-house sandwiches and salads hit the right spot of being utterly delicious and not leaving you feeling guilty about having yet another cheat meal! Definitely give this place a go if you find yourself in Brixton!
