There are a number of Turkish food outlets on the high street, supplying Bruce Grove with delicious food at all times of the day. The garden house is both a Turkish café and a community hub. This spot is frequented by people from all walks of life and all aspects of the community. The menu is equally diverse – offering a number of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
I would recommend going for breakfast where you can choose traditional Turkish dishes such as menemen – scrambled eggs cooked with a choice of meat, vegetables or cheese and served with warm flatbread. If that’s not for you, you can go for a mega full English breakfast – available for meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans – which is sure to cure even the worst of hangovers.
One of the impressive things about this café is the bookshelf wall offering a huge range of Turkish language literature, which are available to borrow. In addition, they have a large outside area – great when the weather is warmer.
