Where to even begin with Zephyr… it’s one of those spots that’s a 10/10 on every level. The word Zephyr is of Greek origin and refers to the wind. And let me tell you .. the food will blow you away!
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a great decor focused on a play of lights, dimmed atmosphere and soft vibe. Part of their kitchen and grill is open to the restaurant, so you can watch the cooks whip up the best dishes and have a nice whiff of whatever’s headed to your table. The staff is very friendly and quick on their feet, and also advises on pairing options and portion sizes.
We started with the infamous dip that went viral. Hands down, the best tarama in the city. Probably in all of Europe — yes, including Greece (that’s a BIG statement coming from a Greek).
We wanted to focus on seafood, so we ordered the shrimps and the sea bass as mains and shared everything. Every bite, without fail, blew us away. Not only are the flavors spot on, but you can feel the freshness of the produce in your food. It really could not have gotten any better.
We didn’t have any drinks, and the bill came to around £50 a head. I do believe a similar amount of food would also suffice for a party of 3, so definitely give that a think.
Always remember .. life’s too short to die on an empty stomach — so make it count!
