LA water sports cover everything from stand up paddle boarding to kayaking to surfing to sailing. A great way to spend a day on the water without getting wet or exerting too much physical activity is to go parasailing at Marina Del Rey Parasailing.
I took my younger brother here, who works on boats and we loved just walking around the marina looking at all the fancy boats. That was a stalling technique because I'm a little afraid of heights! Marina Del Rey Parasailing gives you the options to sail at either 500 feet or 800 feet. The 800 feet option was only $10 more, so I figured I should conquer my fear
The meeting point is in Marina Del Rey and you will get to ride up and down the coast, with a new perspective on the city. The boat ride alone is fun, but from 800 feet in the air you can see almost all of the west side of Los Angeles. It's a great way to experience the Pacific from another vantage point. The parasail ride is surprisingly serene and peaceful... You will not get wet unless you want to, just let the captain know and he will dip you in the water to cool off!
