Kippy's Los Angeles

Coo-coo for coconuts!

Liz from Los Angeles

About me Originally from a small town in Wisconsin, as long as I can remember I told my parents I was moving to California where it is warm! At 18 years old I did exactly that in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. After University I moved to LA and have worked in marketing movies since 1996. Why Los Angeles? I knew I would live in LA since primary school. I have travele...
""Kippy's" in Los Angeles makes healthy, vegan coconut milk ice cream and it's my #1 favorite local spot. I go there as many as 5 times a week!"

This blog post should have been my first, since you are about to hear about my #1 favorite local spot! Kippy's Ice Cream shop makes vegan ice cream so delicious you feel good just eating it!

Kippy's Ice Cream is vegan so it is made from coconut milk instead of dairy. The ice creams are all free of dairy, soy, nuts and gluten. They use organic fruits and all natural ingredients, including dates or honey for sweetening instead of the devil of the American diet, refined sugar. Kippy's is always changing up their menu but they keep some of the tried and true favorites, mine is the chocolate chip with magic shell. The magic shell truly is magical...  but of course it is a healthy variation from the store bought brands, using coconut oil instead of chemical ingredients. They also have healthy toppings, such as cacao nibs, goji berries, sun-dried fruit, and my personal favorite, mulberries. I had never heard of a mulberry before, but it sure tastes nice on top of some strawberry cream ice cream!

Kippy's has recently added teas to its menu, and now you can order their version of a root beer float. I've had to take Kippy's into consideration when I do my monthly budget, because I go there as much as 5 times a week!
