I LOVE eating at Pasta Sisters! Fresh pasta, wonderful sauces, great entrees, and yummy desserts, all in a minimalist, no-nonsense setting. The first time I went, I was dismayed by the long line but was assured that it would go quickly and the wait would be worth it. They were SO right!
Even something as simple and basic as spaghetti bolognese (with meat sauce) can be sublime when the proper care and love is put into it. That is my favorite, especially when paired with pappardelle, which are wide ribbons of pasta that cradle the savory sauce in each little fold. Be sure to get a veggie side both because they taste so good and because you’ll feel extra-virtuous. Then you don’t have to feel bad about getting a pastry for dessert!
Once you’ve placed your order, grab a seat, and wait for a server to bring you a bowl of warm focaccia to dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It’s absolutely perfect for holding off those hunger pangs while you’re waiting for your specially-cooked pasta. They’ll give you more too, if you ask. So ask!
I don’t know who these sisters are, but I can’t help but wonder if they’ve got any openings in the family. I’d love to join!
