What could be more Southern California than sitting by the Pacific Ocean while wiggling your toes in the sand and chowing down on the best avocado toast of your life? Not much! 

If that’s your idea of paradise, then head to Perry’s at the Beach. Located on the walkway between Santa Monica and Venice Beach, it looks like a simple outdoor cafe – but the food is outstanding. (When I said, ‘best avocado toast of your life’, what I really meant was ‘best avocado toast of MY life’!) Although their menu is full of sustainable, local, grass-fed, organic items and the location is first-rate, the prices are very reasonable.  

Perry’s also rents a large variety of bikes, rollerskates, beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboards, volleyballs, and more, so you can have your entire beach day easily sorted. For more active types, how about taking one of their ‘World Famous Legends Beach Bike Tours’?

If you want an extra-special experience for you and your honey, you can hire a Beach Butler who will set up beach chairs with an umbrella and table, provide towels and a personal cooler with ice and water. For an extra charge, you can order from the menu too and have it brought right to your chairs. Now, that’s the life! The cost for 2 guests is $75.00 for all-day pampering.
