Tucked away on Kingswell Ave, off bustling Vermont Ave, in the (amazing) neighborhood of Los Feliz, you will find a tiny print shop, proudly reminding everyone it was once Walt Disney’s First Studio in LA. There are many photos and newspaper clippings around the small room of this business detailing the story of its walls. Walt Disney started his career there from 1923 until 1926, when he moved to a larger building. Now you can admire a piece of history and get some errands done at the same time – this place offers general printing jobs (copies, lamination, etc), plus notarization and even has mailboxes for rent. Imagine receiving mail at the first Disney studio!
To add to your trip, I suggest taking a stroll around the Los Feliz neighborhood. Not only you will find great street art, just around the corner on Lyman Pl (between Prospect and Hollywood) there are a series of charming apartment buildings named after old screen legends that simply must be seen. And if you walk east on Franklin Ave, you will encounter the most peculiar (yet beautiful) small bridge in LA, a favorite of mine, the Shakespeare Bridge.
