The concept of Doc Lounge is quite unique. Instead of just screening a well-curated selection of documentaries, the events can consist of live music, panel discussions and Q&A sessions with the director. Every evening is special, and the decoration of the venue and the programme is designed according to the topic of the evening’s documentary.
Doc Lounge events take place in Babel, located in Spångatan just next to Folketspark, which is an old church turned into a night club. I recommend coming early before the screening starts, so that you have time to grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the program and cool ambiance of the venue. The events tend to be very popular, so in order to secure your seat, you can also book your tickets in advance online.
Doc Lounge’s fall season starts in September, and the events take place on Tuesdays. Visit Doc Lounge’s facebook page for updated program and event information.
