Falafel is the unofficial local dish of Malmö. The number of falafel shops in the city is more than extensive, especially in Möllans, which makes finding the best falafel quite a challenge. It’s all about personal taste, and everyone has their own ranking of best falafel places.
Falafel is a suitable option for lunch, snack, dinner, post night-out meal, and a hangover cure. Jalla Jalla is usually the place where I end up grabbing mine, although its competitors along Bergsgatan are equally good options. Also, experiencing the atmosphere in Bergsgatan in the small hours is another experience, because often the falafel shops double as after-party spots for people crawling out of the bars and clubs.
Jalla Jalla has only a few seating spots by the window, so have a takeaway and head to the Folkets Park (check out my article), which is located just behind the corner. Jalla Jalla is now also selling vegan kebab, which makes this place's score in my ranking list even higher.
Useful phrase: en falafel rulle, tack.
