Sweden absolutely loves its sugar. So much so that every office is loaded with candy indulgences, from gelatin-laden gummies to individually wrapped chocolate flavored candy like Daim, Polly, Center and Marabou. Malmo Chokladfabrik takes this love for sugar but elevates the experience with true craft chocolate and ethically sourced ingredients.
Malmo Chokladfabrik dates back to the late 1800s, when cacao first made its way to Malmo, and chocolate and other confectionery products were produced at the iconic Mazetti house. In 2004, Malmo Chocolate Factory started producing its fine quality bean-to-bar chocolates in this iconic historic building by investing in creating a more equitable and humanitarian chocolate consumption by sourcing high-quality cacao beans through ethical supply chains that bolster its vision of "World-class, world-positive chocolate, made together."
Its bean-to-bar line of single origin chocolates highlights the unique flavors of single origin dark chocolates like Esmeraldas from Ecuador, Sambirano from Madagascar, and Alta Verapaz from Venezuela. For fine dark chocolate lovers, the single origin line brings forth various terroirs across the world but also innovates with exciting flavors such as passion fruit white chocolate, blonde chocolate bar, and dark chocolate peppermint bar.
At its core, this little boutique has ridden the bean-to-bar chocolate wave and elevated chocolate in Sweden from a confectionary commodity to a delicate craft to enjoy.
