Malmö Brewing Co & Taproom is just on the edge of the hipster hub of Malmö centred around the Möllevångstorget square and is my favourite place to go for ribs and a taster board of mini-beers. Most people just refer to it as Taproom rather than its official long name – and if they’re at Taproom, they’re probably too busy to say its full name anyway, since their mouths are likely busy enjoying one of Taproom’s exceptional meat dishes.
They have lots of dishes - Brisket, Chicken, Bacon Cheese Meatloaf, Pork Shank and Pulled Pork, but their Baby Back Ribs are outright worth their own article alone. They come as a big portion with the meat falling off the bone and melting in your mouth – and it comes with creamed corn, mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, BBQ baked beans and pickles.
Just like Taproom, a lot of craft beer bars in Malmö offer taster boards of 4-5 mini-beers, but I find the price and selection at Taproom is the best – plus for those who are not that beer savvy or just like surprises, their staff-recommended ‘beer flight’ board of 5 mini-beers is great and usually has a likely mix of one IPA, stout, lager, sour and other beers. You can actually choose any 5 of their House Brewed beers for your board and it’s the same price. Including guest beers, they usually have over 40 beers on tap to choose from – a great destination for beer and ribs enthusiasts!
