Twins Garden. The best restaurant in Moscow.
I could not miss trying out the new project by the award-wining twins Ivan and Sergey Berezutskie -- two famous chefs that make "different" food. Every single restaurant launched by them attracts food lovers from all over the Moscow
and get lots of culinary acclaims.
The Twins Garden is a bit different from other "top ranked" restaurants: first, they have invested in their own farms where they grow greens, vegetables, poultry, and even rare breeds of goats to make their own (perfect!) goat cheese. Second, the prices are surprisingly moderate for such a place.
They have a "set menu" for 8000 RUR (required to book in advance), and the Chef himself will serve it. But, if you are just strolling around Strastnoy boulevard and want to make your tongue, stomach and girlfriend happy, there are plenty of "wow" foods in the a la carte menu.
Worth trying are the cured goose, the Vareniki with mackerel, the pickled tomatoes, kohlrabi and cod's liver, and their steamed sturgeon is exceptionally tasty as well. As for desserts, don't miss the blueberry cake.
The wine list in Twins Garden is the biggest in Russia, with more than a thousand select wines, including some good Russian wines as well.
They have a cool outdoor terrace on the roof with a beautiful view over the Moscow. The terrace is pretty crowded in the evenings, however.
