There is no better place to find books in the whole of New York City than Strand Bookstore near Union Square. If there’s a topic you’re searching for, this is the place to find books about it. I never walk out of here with less than three books in my hands. The entire store is really well organized and there are employees on every floor to help you find what you need. Sometimes, I just love to walk the aisles and pick out books on random topics.
My favorite part of the store is the third floor, where they keep the old book collection. The entire floor is covered floor to ceiling with seemingly ancient books. I love coming up here just to look at the titles and covers of these books.
Outside, there are a host of shelving units containing books for less than $1. You never know what you’ll find out here, and it can take hours just to make your way through them all! Fellow bookworms, this is the place to be!
