This bookshop is located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, and has a truly local feel. Located right across the street from some of Chelsea's best known contemporary art galleries, 192 Books specializes in art and design books. You'll see all the hottest books on design theory, as well as large volumes of colored prints.
But the great book selection doesn't stop with the arts; they seem to carry nearly every genre, including a corner for kids' books. 192 Books' staff is incredibly friendly and will happily help you find whatever you're looking for, or even make helpful suggestions for future reads.
