Lockwood is a Queens-based boutique that specializes in home goods and chic gifts. I love to browse the displays, where the aromatic candles, glittering accessories, and trendy home décor all dazzle the senses! Lockwood is a great place for gifts; you’ll find something for everyone, with their ladies’ section in the front of the store, hosting essentials and men’s accessories in the middle, and a large children’s area in the back.
My favorite thing about Lockwood is that they stock lots of locally-made products. Right when you enter the store, you’ll find a shelf filled with artwork, accessories, trinkets, and books all designed by Queens-based artists. These products represent the styles and history of the community, and you won’t find them anywhere else. Last Christmas, my boyfriend bought me a delicate necklace with tiny beads that spells out “Queens” in Morse code. I love how it subtly displays my neighborhood pride, and reminds me of home when I’m traveling. Whether you are a local or a traveler, these Queens-made products are a great way to show your love and support for the community!
Lockwood also has a stationery shop next door, with cards, journals, and desk essentials. Just around the corner is their women’s fashions boutique. They also have home-goods store locations in Jackson Heights, Greenpoint, and the Queens Museum.
