I always get my morning off to a fun start when I go to Project Brunch. With fluffy pancakes, inventive sandwiches, and candy-filled milkshakes, it is a restaurant that adds a playful side to your breakfast.
I love getting the "monkey business" pancakes, which are topped with bananas, pecans and powdered sugar. If you are looking for something savory, their breakfast sandwiches are also delicious and filling. I especially love the Project B.E.C. which is bacon, eggs, and American cheese served on a waffle!
I highly recommend treating yourself to one of Project Brunch's creative hot chocolates. They have a variety of rotating flavors, and they are always coming up with something new. I especially love the chocolate peanut butter, and my best friend loves the Oreo hot chocolate. If you ask, your server might also be able to add a shot of espresso to kick it up a notch! Or, in the summer, they can bring it to you as a frozen drink!
The restaurant is cozy with rustic accents and large windows. They have outdoor seating that is open in good weather. Fair warning: it is on Staten Island's south shore, which is a bit of a drive. But the great news is that the restaurant has been so successful, that they are opening another location on Forest Avenue near the north shore!
