After this year and a half of restrictions, my mom decided to visit me and enjoy again a bit of the classic Paris. And on Saturday we went for lunch to this relic of the old modernist style Paris. The place is remarkable and the nicely decorated mirrors, tiles and sculptures are already worth the visit and will make your day if you like to put your Paris visit on social media.

But the food is also worth it. Classical French cuisine, unpretentious but tasty, including as starters escargots (French garlic and parsley seasoned snails), salads, pate, eggs and mayonnaise, foiegras but also as mains roast chicken, choucrute, confit de canard, nice sirloin steak, lentils with pork… all with fries, green beans or other classical French sides like champignos a la provenzale or pommes grenailles.

To continue, some classical cheese like camembert or bleu d’Auvergne

And last, but not least, fantastic desserts. I chose the one profiterole made of a perfect chou paste, filled with delicious vanilla ice cream and covered with chocolate sauce with sparks of almonds…. mmmmm, I almost licked the plate at the end…

It may not be the best place for vegetarians (they also have salads and a vegetarian dish) but it is definitely the best value for money French cuisine lunch you can find in Paris, and in a classy and beautiful place.

Beware, they do not take bookings, you may have to wait a bit, but the room is big and the queue short.
