The Farman family is well-known in France for pioneering airplane flights and inventions. It was also the owner of a factory that produced thousands of cars and airplanes in the early XX Century in the suburbs of Paris. Mr. Pierre Farma is a descendant of that family and he spends his life now recovering parts and pieces of old airplanes in hangars and from collectors, to transform them into decorative items.
You can find parts of the engine transformed into a sculpture, or a shiny metallic helix turned into a fan for the summer. When you get in the shop, which does not look very special from the outside, all the items appear strange, and as brought back from a movie or something like that. Sitting in a chair that originated from an airplane may seem strange, but they are actually very comfortable. I always drop by when I am in that area, just to see the odd items that he manages to recover.
