The quays of La Tournelle offer a breathtaking view of the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral. It's been several years now that as soon as the weather allows I come here to have a picnic as a lover or with friends.
We arrive around 6pm-7pm because there are already people after that and we stay until late at night to admire the view when it gets dark. The sunset is very beautiful from here. The sky changes colour at every moment. I can't get enough of it. So I recommend you come here for a picnic, to read or to run, as many Parisians do.
In addition, if you like to dance, a few minutes walking away and continuing to walk on the docks, you will arrive at the Quays Saint Bernard. The latter are very lively on weekends, when the weather is fine. There is music everywhere and small arenas where people dance salsa, tango or rock. Here there is grass for people who prefer to picnic on the grass. Personally, I still prefer the calm of the Quays of La Tournelle, but both are worth it.
