This place is pretty hard to find and if I hadn't bumped into it one day, I don't think I would even have known it was there. It's easy to see on Google Maps because it's green but you have to cross a really nasty section of road to get to this cut off park.
I'm going to assume at some point that Philadelphia is going to try and connect these two trails, The Schuylkill River Trail and The Grey's Ferry Crescent Trail. For the time being, this little gem (albeit small) is a nice little place to take your bike or dog (or pet monkey?) and hang out. There is a nice little walkway out to the water which you can go and sort of be in the middle of the Schuylkill River.
Be a daredevil and cross all that traffic past some rough road past the Fedex distribution center and waste management plant on Wharton Street to find a nice little trail that no one really knows about, on a very calm section of the river. Enjoy the day!
