When I was a kid, both of my parents were in bowling leagues so I spent a lot of my childhood at a bowling alley. Some of my favorite times were spent playing the old video games and buying candy and drinks from the old vending machines with all of the other kids that tagged along with their parents. The bowling alleys were always so retro and had a great vibe. I was so glad to find a bowling alley in Philadelphia with that same vibe.
North Bowl looks a lot like the bowling alleys of our youth except more stylish. They still offer those old video games in case you don't like bowling, but even if you don't bowl, you will still have a lot of fun here since it is usually always crowded and has a party atmosphere. North Lanes also has great happy hour prices. On Thursday nights after 22:00 they offer everything for $ 2, so that is $ 2 a game, $ 2 for shoes, and $ 2 beers. They also have regular happy hours Monday through Thursday from 16:00 - 21:00. Another special they offer is $ 3 bowling, shoes, beer, and half price food after 22:00 on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
One of my favorite places to bowl there is the upstairs lanes overlooking the lanes down below on the first floor. The space is really unique and always a good time.
