I’ve come across this new space open in the “uptown” of Porto since April 2017. The name really called for my attention and one night, after a good dinner, me and some friends decided to investigate it. Everyone got pretty surprised by this space’s environment and friendship, therefore I decided to write this article.
Rúben and Pedro are the guys behind this project. They took the challenge of opening this new place for beer fans, building it with their own hands, totally “DIY” style, and the result is pretty cool. The space is not big, but it counts with tables for about 20 people, plus an outside garden for 20 more, which creates a familiar environment where different groups end up interacting all together.
Now about the goodies... Here you can find more than 70 types of international beers, from Montenegro or Albania, to the famous German or Belgian beers. It all depends on where you wish to “travel” with their flavors! The “house beer” costs 1.50€ which is pretty good, and you can join it with a “grilled chouriço” a la Portuguesa (3.80€). They also present some events like workshops, live music, some talks or the “barbecue” day.
To wrap up, they came up with the concept that you can bring your own food for lunch or dinner, to combine with some of their beers! If you prefer to take some beers to enjoy at home, you can choose between some packs and get a nice discount.
