In the last years there has been a bloom in the nightlife spots in Porto and Bonfim neighborhood is no exception.

Riding this wave, André Martins, the owner and founder of Meridians & Parallels (M&P), saw the opportunity to create his signature bar. Making use of his long experience and recognition in the art of bartending, he decided to establish a cocktail bar with a huge offer of tastes. At the average price of 5€/6€ per cocktail, I honestly believe this is the best value, not only in Porto, but even Portugal and beyond. It almost seems that by calling it Meridians & Parallels, they are challenging the world in the art of cocktails, but not in a fancy and pretentious way.

The quality and the variety of the ingredients used are obviously high. All drinks and components such as herbs, spices, fruit and ice are of top quality, and the complexity of each cocktail prepared by André and his team is no joke, as the portfolio of M&P surpasses 1000 cocktails!

Another fundamental aspect in a bar – the environment. Here M&P have a cozy and interesting option. Some days there is live music and DJ sessions (check their Facebook page). The area is not huge but still has 4 different areas with relaxing decoration and a terrace, which is a surprise.

M&P is a bar that makes you feel in some way at home, independently of which “Meridian & Parallel” you come from, which you will leave with a smile!
