Passos Manuel Porto

Passos Manuel offers so many interesting views that it is hard to combine in a single article, especially for a dedicated fan like me. It is an old and emblematic cinema which was renovated to serve also as bar & disco. It is the "little twin brother" of Porto's colosseum (located just next to each other), both performing as a main "duo" in the history of performing arts and events of this town.

The place breathes art as you enter, thanks to its Art Nouveau furniture and environment. It has two floors to dance and socialize besides, of course, the cinema room with a capacity for 300 people, which is open when there are events in it. It has also a quite special characteristic, which are the 3 VIP cabins of the cinema (free access), that offer a pleasant privacy for a group chat - usually hard due to loud music.

The ambient is pleasant and mutable, for ages between 25 and 60. In the bar area the music varies from jazz, rock to electronic, depending on the night's theme or what the audience requires.

Having the aforementioned cinema room, it is also home base for events like music concerts & festivals, film & shortcuts festivals, conferences, exhibitions, private and thematic parties.
