Terraplana is the place of the moment in the East part of Porto. Officially open since April of 2016, this bar brought a different option and perspective to the neighbourhood, offering an eclectic and pleasant experience to its visitors.
The owners put in a huge effort and considered all the details that ensures this place offers such a nice experience to those who choose to drink a social beverage there, to relax after a day of work, or to attend some music concert. It was very well thought out and realized, as you can tell by reading their construction blog.
So now I will tell you why I really like this bar… First, as I said, for the amazing environment that somehow brings to mind an Irish pub, but with a strong Porto touch. Then the nice terrace, with the small garden with different aromatic plants and peppers, where you also have an area for live art events (music, projections, etc.). The bathrooms are some of the most original I’ve ever seen (you will be surprised). The music is nice and calm, with an electronic and rock selection, which makes you feel comfortable but with an awoken spirit.
And then, the food! Terraplana claims to be a bar, but with such delicious pizzas made in their oven, it is impossible not to mention them. Also the beer selection is different from the regular options at other bars, so definitely another plus.
A flat mood is what you won’t find here!
