I used to go to school around the corner from this spot. I remember a great sweet shop, where I used to always buy ice cream (vanilla). A few years later this place changed into a bakery with delicious butter croissants. After the bakery was closed, this corner spot turned into a boutique selling really horrible clothes. The evolution of this place culminated with the opening of this Fusion bistro – Jávanka. This bistro, focusing on Indonesian food, is organic- and raw-friendly and it can satisfy both vegetarians and meat lovers. The restaurant area has been recently renovated and enlarged, and thanks to the decoration you will find yourself a bit like in Indonesia.
If you visit this place I recommend you order Velká Jávanka, which gives you the opportunity to try little pieces of typical Javanese food (beef Rendang, turkey Semur, beans Sambal goreng buncis and salad). Don't forget to save some space for the great raw desserts. After finishing your meal you can continue to Krymská street, which is the centre of Prague's hipster scene and only a five minute walk away.
