Libeňské doky in the district Libeň has changed a lot. New business and residence buildings - marinas included - have increased this area's value rating. They were quickly sold out. No wonder - it's possibly only here you can have your boat in front of your apartment. The spot is still a nice place to relax at for a while.
If you get off at tram stop Libeňský zámek or Divadlo pod Palmovkou, it is the same distance to get to the wide path which leads to Libeňské doky. At first sight, it might seem that the path U Českých loděnic leads nowhere. Keep going along little Rokytka River and you'll pass by Löwit's mill from 1747. The route is lined by trees and benches. After 270 metres you will arrive at your spot - a crossroad with yellow signs: Downtown 5 km, districts Karlín 2 km, Vysočany 3km and Troja 3 km.
If you'd like to continue, I would recommend these three options during daytime. The first one (900 meters) leads up to Povltavská street where the bike path enters a busy street without pavements. It's a little walk under the old trees with your back overlooking Libeňský ostrov (Libeň's island). The second one is setting foot on the island itself and having a quick look at old cottages and boats. The third choice follows the A2 bike route to charming Karlín - a wonderful option. Preferably by rented bike.
