About me
I am a chemist (PhD, DSc, etc.), semi-retired, trying to make it as a photographer. Born in Prague, with about 20 years in US, I'm now back in Prague almost full time.
Why Prague
I have traveled the world quite a bit (never been to Antarctica) but Prague is so unique that I was always excited to come back here. There is a plethora of places where tourists will always congregate, but you can find beautiful places worth visiting which are not mentioned in books by Lonely Planet, and where you will enjoy being without too many people taking selfies.
Where else can you find me online?
The "Old Water Treatment Plant" is a truly unique place to visit in Prague. It's an example of architecture and engineering with century-old machinery...

"Manifesto Market" in Prague is a cashless 'container village' - a place created by multiple units which can be quickly reassigned to a different function!

"Kozí Hřbety" or Goat's backs at the edge of Prague is a very narrow outcrop of rock that's one of my favorite places for hiking any time of year!

"Bleší Trh NU Elektry" is Prague's very own flea market - it is said to be Europe's largest! Extremely well organized, runs like clockwork.

Experiencing Jara Cimrman in English, this Czech legend, is a privilege you can't miss. This theater play will introduce you to our talented national hero.

The Bohnice "Pet Cemetery" in Prague is a small jungle. It's touching and interesting to see how deeply in love some pet owners were with their companions.

The "Pink Tank" in Prague, a work by David Černý, is the story of the Russian tank that symbolised Russian influence in Czechia and was painted pink...
By
The "Ferdinand Vaněk Bench" is dedicated to Václav Havel, the Czech Republic's first president who was also a dissident and writer behind a pseudonym!
