It is no surprise that Prague is a green city. Lots of cleverly situated parks, many clean spots to rest and be alone with your own ideas. During the lockdown, I discovered a very special place only eight tram stops from downtown: the natural monument of Troja, right above the tram stop Nad Trojovou.

The quite steep path behind the bushes is not for everyone – let‘s instead move up along the tram track and turn to the street Nad Trojovou. You will go around the small piece of land with the hens at the corner, where children like to stop. Then you will get on a very charming street with six houses, each in different architectural style. I truly love them all!

And now the most important moment. Please don’t miss the natural path and the stairs on the left after 150 metres. You will arrive at a real meadow with wildflowers and trees. You may not believe me, but in spring there was a shepherdess here for more than a month with a flock of sheep living in her own caravan. Miracles can happen even in big cities.

The meadow is suitable for relaxing or walking in the colder months, too. You can go far through Troja’s forest. But for now, just sit and enjoy the private moment here. You might like the opposite hill that’s very close with family houses of different sizes or the view of Holešovice, city park Stromovka and Hradčany at the back of the fascinating scenery.
