There's a famous and a bit scary cartoon (from my childhood in the last century) about 2 friends – a hedgehog and a bear. Each summer evening a little hedgehog visits his friend the bear and they sit next to each other and count the stars. One evening, there was a lot of fog all around, but the little hedgehog was brave enough to step into the fog and got into various and kind of scary adventures. But everything ended well, the two friends met and had a cup of tea and raspberry jam together under the stars.
The title of the story and the little hedgehog's silhouette were chosen as symbols for the chain of 12 bars Ezītis miglā located all around Riga (my favorite one is located on Tērbatas street). Also, some design elements with the little hedgehog are used in the bars' interior. What is common for all of them is that they're very relaxing, democratic & unpretentious. Having a lunch, cocktail, some snacks, a glass of wine – everybody is welcome here.
Of course, due to restrictions related to the Covid19 virus and late-night parties, concerts and team competitions in brain games are cancelled for some time but still – the Hedgehog in the fog bars are open until midnight and many of them have outdoor terraces. So, if you see the sign with a little hedgehog outside the bar, do not hesitate entering for a good rest and refreshment.
