Curious about local food? Head to the oldest hotel in Rijeka, Hotel Continental, and in the same building on the ground floor and with a large terrace, you will find the amazing and delicious Pivnica Cont (pivnica=beerhouse).
Over here you will find traditional goulash with gnocchi - with beef, lamb, boar, Istrian cattle, but also octopus and seafood; traditional soups, meat platters, pasta of many kinds, lasagne, salads, as well as vegan specialties.
Whoever you come with, there will be something to please everyone’s taste buds!
You will not be disappointed by the offer of beers, from the regular ones that are to be found in every pub, to local and draft ones, that will really complement your meal, especially after a nice goulash.
The interior is decorated in an old-fashioned way so you will definitely have an overall local experience with amazing food.
