Sablićevo Beach Rijeka

Time for some seaside! No matter the season, there is always something special about chilling next to the sea, listening to the calming sounds of the waves and breathing in the salty air. Sablićevo beach is a perfect place to do so. Sablićevo beach is one of plenty of beaches in Rijeka’s district Pećine, and I find it the most beautiful one. I’m not the only one who thinks that, as Sablićevo was listed among the 40 most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It might not seem like a high score, but considering how many gorgeous beaches there are on the Croatian coast, this is more than a good result!

It is a pebble beach with no natural shade, so during the hot summer months, you should get a strong sunscreen or bring a sun umbrella. It provides showers and toilets. Usually, you can get refreshed in the beach bar (working hours change depending on the covid situation).

Apart from it being your best city beach option in the summer, it is also a beautiful, calm, and quiet getaway. I was there in the evenings just hanging out enjoying some beer, and the feeling I got was incredible - the peace of the night, lit only by moonlight, ASMR sounds of waves, and Kvarner bay lights on the horizon...

Switching the hip bars for this experience at least once while you’re here is definitely worth it.
