Rotterdam didn’t used to have a lot of places to eat Mexican food. You were condemned to a few restaurants. But recently a new Mexican restaurant opened its doors and a hotspot was born. Alfredo's Taqueria is situated in the Industriegebouw, a few minutes from the Markthal. I didn’t know I was a fan of Mexican food until I ate at this place. Never too old to learn, I guess.
Alfredo's Taqueria is a good place to have a lunch or dinner and have a taste of Mexican kitchen. For lunch they serve sandwiches, or as they are called in Mexico: tortas. The lunch menu isn’t that big, but every option takes you on a journey to Mexico. The flavors are nothing I have ever experienced and taste absolutely wonderful.
For dinner they serve tacos with fish, chicken or beef with typical Mexican vegetables and herbs. But that is not the only thing they have to offer. The corn with cheese and spicy herbs is an absolute must eat. Order some (Mexican) beer with it and everybody will dine with a smile on their face.
Because they opened recently they only serve a fixed meal. You have two choices: a meat menu or a vegetarian menu. But either of them are a treat to eat.
