FG Food Labs Rotterdam – Experiments to be loved

Ah, Rotterdam, city of experiments... as you walk the streets of the city, you will find that no one has been afraid here. People match and mix, as do the buildings, and of course it's the perfect place to find inspiration if you are a cook. François Geurds, a local celebrity chef, knows and takes advantage of this in his restaurants.

FG Food Labs is a small, quirky place where you can discover both amazing raw materials and unexpected combinations. Among other things, I owe them the best simple bread with butter in my life (good butter is amazing) and discovering that there is an specific breed of cattle called MRIJ (Maas, Rijn, Ijselvee) that is grown specifically in this area and is very, very nice.

As with other top restaurants in Rotterdam, this one also has a Michelin Star but also a convenient lunch menu valid also on the weekend that includes several courses, wine and coffee. So, make a reservation (you must if you want to order the special menu) and be surprised by the woody, warm interior of the restaurant and the amazing food that you will find in your plate.
