First off, I would like to mention that my first time here was by accident during a downpour. My friend and I were rushing home to finish some work. We had just gotten off the bus and were drenched. Though they had closed, the man, presumably the owner, saw us, opened the door and personally made us some lunch. That's the kind of restaurant that deserves a mention.
I have since gone back both by myself and with friends, and it has never disappointed. A saag fan myself, I have yet to taste better. This is a restaurant that takes the practice of making good food very seriously. There's a certain matter-of-factness to the place, from the minimalist decor and the self-service, but also an air of hospitality. They always have hot chai tea on hand and act as though your order is their top priority. There's something refreshing about this place. It's no-nonsense, good food and I very highly recommend it.
It's located about 10 feet from the 43 and 6 stop on Judah and 6th.
