Back when I lived in Lower Queen Anne, a close friend insisted I check out Coffeemind. Since then, it has become one of my favorite morning spots. If you’re searching for Turkish coffee in Seattle, look no further.
You can choose your level of sweetness by adding one, two, three or no teaspoons of sugar to the thick brew. I always choose one, and eagerly await when it’s presented on a delicate silver tray. A small piece of Turkish Delight accompanies it, and the staff will gladly instruct you on the proper way to consume both (sip the coffee, bite the sweet and repeat).
American and Turkish pastries are available as well, my favorite being the simit sandwich. Beyond the coffee shop is a small boutique, offering beautiful textiles, home goods and more.
Pro-tip: You’re only a 20 minute walk away from Kerry Park. Grab a pastry to go and head south on 10th Avenue, turn left on Galer and then a right on 8th Avenue to take the breathtaking scenic route along historic Queen Anne Boulevard.
