From the no cell phone policy to the record players in the restrooms, Bizarro Cafe is one of Seattle's quirkier restaurants. As tempted as I am to document the funkiness of the place, I restrain myself from pulling out my phone and enjoy the moment.
I like Bizzaro because they don't play by any rules. The food may stray from traditional but that's what puts the bizarre in Bizzaro. Bizarro's shining spot is the handmade pasta noodles. They also have elk bolognese if you want to be a bit adventurous. I like that I can support local businesses here as they feature Mama Lil's peppers in many of the pasta dishes and offer Molly Moon's ice cream for dessert.
This place gets really crowded on weekends (and they don't accept reservations) so I make sure to beat the rush by going early in the evening.
The decor may be wacky, but let's be real for a second- nothing matters when I'm forking homemade gnocchi into my mouth.
