Did you know that Seattle lays claim to having the largest indoor bouldering gym in the States? Seattle Bouldering Project has two floors giant floors of climbing walls with everything from beginner routes to complex projects. Don't let its massive size scare you, it still has the mellow climbing vibes and is accessible for those who are just dabbling in bouldering.
For many here, bouldering is their way to relax and they are happy to share some "beta" with you on the routes you are attempting. I recommend this if you are looking for something unique and active to do while staying dry. In the winter they have a lot of fun events and competitions. Great options when you're looking to stay dry and active.
Even with the number of walls it has, SBP can get busy but it's more fun to share a route with a couple of others and make some climbing buddies. Hanging out on the walls at SBP is a fun way to sample something uniquely Seattle. As an added bonus you can hang out with your new buddies at the Westwall Bar in the basement of the gym.
Pro tip: shoe rentals are free for you first visit.
