Greenwich Book Centre and café is the biggest bookstore in Bulgaria, it takes up two large floors with all genres you can think of, and it has a rich selection of literature in English and a juice bar & café that turns into an evening bar with cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.
Greenwich is a social place, where new book releases and presentations take place, as well as children’s events, puppet theatres, meet-ups with both established and upcoming authors, special holiday-themed events, and much more. The atmosphere is always welcoming and warm. The ceilings are tall and despite the many, many bookshelves, the place feels spacious and open. The staff is well-read and knowledgeable, and most of them speak good English too.
The bar outside the main entrance has a few tall tables and chairs put out on the busy Vitosha street, which make a great quick café or tea break for people on a shopping spree. The tables inside can be used for the same purpose, but one can also simply sit, read through some books in peace and make the best selection for their next read!
