More Joy (in Bulgarian Още Радост) is currently my favorite gelato spot in Sofia, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re a gelato lover, this delightful experience is a must-try. The charming gelateria goes beyond being just another ice cream shop. It’s a fusion of the popular Harmonica brand, known for its local Bulgarian organic food (if you come across Harmonica products in a store, I highly suggest giving them a try), and the Italian Gaya Gelato.
This partnership ensures that every scoop is a blend of quality and authenticity, with a focus on clean, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. One of the highlights for me is the Boza and coffee gelato—a flavor I’ve never encountered anywhere else. Boza is a traditional Balkan drink made from fermented cereals. If you’re hesitant to try the drink, don’t worry; the gelato is a must-try on its own.
More Joy also offers sorbets as well. The staff is very kind, so if you’re unsure about what to get, don’t hesitate to ask for a tasting.
