Spotter since 2025
I am a PhD student at University of Greenwich in London. My PhD topic is on the concept of the civic university, and the part universities play in local community and the place they are located in. Seeing that there are not many spots on the app in south-east London, let alone Greenwich, inspired me to apply to become a spotter, which also affords me the opportunity to re-connect with London.
I'm a big fan of walking around and exploring London, especially near the river around Greenwich and from London Bridge to Southbank. As well as walking for pleasure, I enjoy reading non-fiction and watching science fiction shows and films (recent re-watches at the time of writing are Stargate SG1 and Firefly). I also love to learn new things and I am currently learning Spanish. In my spare time I volunteer with refugees and asylum seekers in increasing access to higher education.
