About me
Well, I'm still a student. I guess you could call me a perpetual student. It has its advantages, though. I mean, I can explore my city whenever I want. Like the rest of my family I suffer from a persevering restlessness to discover the world. To take away some of this restlessness, I made it my personal mission to discover Rotterdam as much as possible. I'm always searching for new things to do or new experiences and share those with Spotted by Locals.
Why Rotterdam
Rotterdam isn't a beautiful city in the traditional sense. It doesn't have a historic center or many old buildings. But that's what makes this city great. After the bombing the city had to reinvent itself. Since then, it never stopped moving. So many things are happening here. New architecture, clubs, restaurants. You name it. It is exciting to live in this city, explore it and be a part of that movement.
"Proeflokaal Reijngoud" in Rotterdam's Witte de Withstraat is my favorite pub to show my love for beer, with 16 types of draught and a great terrace.

"De Ballentent" - the best place in Rotterdam, nay, the whole country to overeat on meatballs. This restaurant is a little piece of heaven and then some.

"Alfredo's Taqueria" is a new Mexican restaurant in Rotterdam that has become a hotspot. I didn't know I was a fan of Mexican until I ate a torta here.
By
"Pebbles Kitty Cat Café" is Rotterdam's very own cat cafe! For just a small fee I can stay with a cup of coffee and the cats for as long as I want. Heaven.

"Trompenburg" in Rotterdam is an oasis of silence and nature. Its amazingly beautiful "English garden" style makes it my favourite park in the city.
By
"Freestyle Motion" in Rotterdam is a 2500m2 indoor hall filled with trampolines. Many trampolines. Believe me, it's as fun as it's a great workout!
By
"Maritiem Museum Rotterdam" is a necessity to truly understand this city. It's just fun, interesting and very well-made - great for children!

Heemtuin in Rotterdam's Kralingse Bos, the city's largest park, is one of them, if not its most beautiful and lesser known gardens. Go there for animals!
